Jarvis River

The Jarvis River Wind Project is proposed to be located in the Municipality of Neebing, approximately 22 km south west of the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario. A meteorological assessment tower was installed in November 2010 to measure and record wind data. The configuration of the project has not yet been determined, but the land area available could host up to 20 – 24 wind turbines, or about 40 MW of generation capacity. A 115 kV transmission line is located 22 km from the site, and a 25 kV distribution line is adjacent to the site.
